Patrick has a background in building collaborative partnerships in the sports sector. He had identified opportunity to bring sustainability to the fore for this relatively untapped industry.
The Challenge
Patrick had a number of business ideas that required qualifying, quantifying and validating. In short, he needed to prove the viability of his potential options.
The Solution
Fortro engaged in a series of sessions to provide high-level brainstorming around Patrick’s concepts and desired impacts. These were designed to provide a sounding board and an opportunity to discuss related value propositions. Discussion also centred upon contribution to key stakeholder objectives - particularly around local/national goals for sustainable development and climate action.
After an initial discovery session, several key focuses were identified. Tasks were set to help Patrick qualify his ideas and present his findings back to Aileen. In doing so, he was able to question the respective business cases and impact for each option.
Aileen provided counsel to Patrick, supporting review of all key considerations. This helped Patrick refine his options to a single preferred choice, with a robust revenue model.
The Results
As a result of this objective process, Patrick is pursuing a better framed, more purposeful business. His recently launched company, Impact 3 Zero now provides sustainability-based consultancy services to Irish and UK sports organisations.
